WoW Raids in Midnight Season 2
At the start of Midnight Season 2, players will have access to two new raids: Venomous Abyss and Tidebound Grotto. In this guide, we’ve prepared short, role-specific tactical overviews for every boss, covering the key responsibilities for Tanks, Healers, and DPS. This will help you quickly understand what to do during each encounter and confidently join your first raid. If you need help completing the main seasonal raid, the Venomous Abyss Boost from Epiccarry is a great option for you.
Venomous Abyss Tactics

In Venomous Abyss, you will face eight bosses, each with its own mechanics and role-specific responsibilities. Below, we’ve summarized the key tactics for every role in every encounter, helping you quickly understand your role and prepare for the season’s main raid.
Nek’zali the Soulcoiler

Tanks. Keep Nek’zali positioned away from the group and manage Hollowing Strikes. During Soul Transfer, help deal with the Echoes of Jawae and break their Tether of Awakening before they empower the boss. Minimize the travel distance of Possession Barrage to reduce its damage.
Healers. Be ready for heavy raid-wide damage from Soulcoil Ignition. During Soulcoil Rite, make sure the group prevents too many souls from entering the Soulcoil Well, as this can cause deadly damage. Heal through Essence Rend and watch for Latent Cultists left behind when it expires.
Damage Dealers. Kill Latent Cultists after Essence Rend expires and quickly destroy Restless Amani that awaken from the sarcophagi. During Soul Transfer, focus the Echoes of Jawae to remove their Tether of Awakening and prevent Nek’zali from gaining power.
Entombed Sentinels

Tanks. Position the Sentinels carefully to avoid Toxic Droplets. Swap or manage positioning to prevent Empowering Slam and Bloodvenom Injection from repeatedly hitting the same target. During Helical Toxins, make sure you reach exactly 4 stacks to neutralize the effect.
Healers. Dispel Blighted Blood from players and prepare for heavy raid-wide damage from Contaminate. During Helical Toxins, help players reach exactly 4 stacks to neutralize the effect.
Damage Dealers. Kill the Venom Coagulation slime quickly to stop Contaminate. Keep both Sentinels close in health, as Vitriolic Stasis heals the weaker one to match the stronger Sentinel. Reach exactly 4 stacks of Helical Toxins to neutralize it.
The Lost Explorers

Tanks. Keep the explorers positioned so Scrollsage Iku and Trader Gebbo are not both near First Mate Nama, preventing United Defense. Manage Shredding Shards and its vulnerability, and watch Steady Strikes as Nama’s physical damage increases.
Healers. Prepare for heavy group damage from Blink Nova and keep players affected by Icebound Flames alive, dispelling the lingering effect when possible. Heal players taking damage from Splinters and be ready for Mighty Thud.
Damage Dealers. Interrupt Icebound Flames and use Burning Flames / Piercing Frost to remove the opposite patches from Frostfire Volley. Help break Mor’zahi’s control by making the controlled tortollan consume Disgusting Fish, and avoid Blast Wave using the mushrooms.
Vashnik the Malignant

Tanks. Manage Dripping Fangs, as its damage increases over time. When Vashnik reaches 100 energy and uses Imbibe, be ready for the boss to gain power from the two nearest fountains.
Healers. Prepare for heavy group-wide damage whenever Vashnik uses Imbibe. Manage Siphoning Infection, which absorbs incoming healing, and keep the group healthy as Toxic Vapor becomes more dangerous after each Imbibe.
Damage Dealers. Kill Living Venoms before they reach the Malignant Cavity, as they trigger Malignant Burst if they get there. Deal with the initial Clotting Venom after removing its Sanguineous Fortitude protection.
Sszorak

Tanks. Manage Corroding Venom stacks and plan tank swaps before the debuff becomes dangerous. Watch Sszorak’s Apex Predator combo and use defensives for Ravage and Mutilate. During Howling Maelstrom, maintain control of the boss while avoiding being pushed into dangerous positions.
Healers. Prepare for heavy raid damage from Venomous Surge and Raging Crosswinds. Make sure players survive the knockbacks from Crosswinds and Howling Maelstrom, and be ready with cooldowns during periods of high movement.
Damage Dealers. Spread away from players targeted by Venomous Surge to reduce raid damage. Pay attention to Raging Crosswinds and position yourself to avoid dangerous knockbacks. During Howling Maelstrom, attack Sszorak while Dig In is active, as this is the boss’s main damage-vulnerability phase.
The Twin Fangs

Tanks. Position the boss so Caustic Globules do not create dangerous areas for the group. Manage Eternal Venom carefully and use Ravenous Feast to remove its stacks before they become lethal. Make sure Stone Breaker hits a player, or it will damage the entire group.
Healers. Watch players affected by Eternal Venom, as high stacks are lethal unless removed by Ravenous Feast. Heal through Corrosive Spit from the spawned adds and prepare for heavy damage during the serpents’ combined attacks.
Damage Dealers. Avoid Caustic Globules to prevent gaining Eternal Venom, and help manage high stacks through Ravenous Feast. Kill Spawns of Vexhul quickly to stop their Corrosive Spit. Be ready for both bosses to submerge and attack together at 100 energy.
The Coiled Altar

Tanks. Position Zul’jan so Sever destroys Coalesced Venom when possible, while managing its heavy damage. During Malacrass, use Soul Sever to destroy Manifestations of Dread and manage Corrupted Toxin stacks carefully.
Healers. Prepare for heavy raid damage and healing absorbs from Fangs of the Coiled Altar and Defilement of the Coiled Altar. Heal through Venom Rupture, Venomfang, and Gloombomb, especially when Coalesced Venom is destroyed.
Damage Dealers. Destroy Coalesced Venom and free players affected by Dreadmarch, then kill the spawned Manifestations of Dread. Break the Veil of Twilight quickly to survive Eternal Nightfall.
Ula’tek

Tanks. Keep Ula’tek in melee range to prevent Unchecked Rage and Rattler Slam. Stand in Mother’s Wrath to prevent it from damaging the entire group. Help control the boss and adds while avoiding dangerous venom areas.
Healers. Prepare for raid-wide damage whenever Blightscale Vipers hatch, as each one applies Putrid Membrane to the group. During Spectral Coils, have players stack at impact points to reduce the damage.
Damage Dealers. Kill Blightscale Clutch quickly before it grows too powerful, and destroy Blightscale Spawn before they touch venom and hatch into Vipers. Prioritize Spawn affected by Writhing Gestation and help control the Doomscale adds.
Tidebound Grotto Tactics
Tidebound Grotto is a single-boss raid where you will face Nymrissa Wavecaller. Below, you can review a short, role-specific strategy covering the most important mechanics for Tanks, Healers, and DPS.
Nymrissa Wavecaller

Tanks. Keep Nymrissa in melee range and manage sustained damage from Water Jet or Iceblade Flurry. Use Water Jet to remove Lingering Frost patches when needed. During Alluring Bubble, help control the incoming murlocs and prevent them from becoming empowered.
Healers. Prepare for heavy group-wide damage from Abyssal Rain. Use healing cooldowns when Alluring Bubble pops, as it deals a large burst of damage to the entire group.
Damage Dealers. Focus Bubblefin Shorerunners before they reach the Alluring Bubble. Murlocs that enter the bubble become empowered, so kill or control them quickly before Swirling Whirlpools break the bubble.
